READINGFILMFEST WELCOME
Welcome back to ReadingFilmFEST! I'm so happy to see you all again! This year promises to be
our best yet with wonderful films, speakers, entertainment, art, food, and music!
Though 2021 marks our 7th annual festival, this was a year of firsts for us. Most importantly,
ReadingFilmFEST become its own 501(c)(3) with an incredible powerhouse of board members
and an advisory council. These dedicated members cross all sectors of our community
including higher education, business, arts organizations, filmmakers, and media professionals.
We're very grateful for their guidance and input as we grow as a festival.
In addition to presenting this yearly event, ReadingFilmFEST's mission is to grow a film
production community, support local filmmakers, and elevate Greater Reading as an arts
and cultural location. We're excited to be forging new relationships with the Reading Artists
Collective, a newly formed group of Reading-based minority and women artists, and with
Reading Film Studios, created by New York filmmakers, Tony Moore and Kemuel Charles. We're
also very appreciative of the support being provided by Reading Mayor Eddie Moran and Berks
County Commissioner Kevin Barnhardt as we work toward creating a streamlined approach for facilitating film
production in the region. Shout out to former Film Commissioner and current board member Santo D. Marabella
for his efforts in facilitating this process!
As always, we appreciate our business sponsors and granting organizations. Their yearly support of this festival
is essential to our growth and sustainability as a community event. We're especially grateful to Senator Judy
Schwank for her support in helping us obtain essential funding from Pennsylvania's Department of Community

None of this would have been possible without the on-going efforts of our Executive Director, Cammie Harris.
Cammie not only took on the task of creating our non-profit, she also cultivated new relationships in the
community, unearthed new funding sources, and facilitated our new community event - Popup Movie Nights!

CELEBRATING MICHAEL CONSTANTINE
ReadingFilmFEST is proud to celebrate the life of Reading native, Emmyaward
winning actor, Michael Constantine. One of the original founders of
ReadingFilm, he championed Reading as a film destination and shared his
talents with local productions throughout his life.
