Sometimes it's difficult to see wildlife in fields and forests
but we can learn to recognize the signs that they are
there! Children will learn about and search for animal
tracks, scat, examine owl pellets, animal pelts, bones and
shells plus so much more!

A fun opportunity to explore science, nature and art
in an adventurous Leaf Safari! Learn leaf ID basics,
examine bark patterns and discover the importance
of trees. We will collect colorful fall leaves to make
pressed leaf cards, botanical prints, leaf rubbings and
more. Leaf ID handout and all materials provided.

spooky (but not too spooky) and fun nature walk.
We'll listen, look for and discuss wildlife that comes out
at night, listen to wildlife tales and learn to use our night
eyes to keep an eye out for owls. Come have a howl of a
time! Bring a flashlight.
Winter Naps - Wildlife Adventures!

Stroll the trail and learn about the animal adventures of
late fall. We will explore what animals do to prepare for
cold winter months and food shortages. Children will learn
about hibernation, who hibernates and who doesn't. We
will also learn about winter torpor and which animal is
famous for it.

Nights are clearer; skies are darker; late fall is the perfect
time for viewing the planets, stars and possibly a distant
galaxy or star cluster. Bring family, friends and your
curiosity and join the BCAAS to view the night sky through
