president. She is looking to recruit new members and increase the
HBA's membership.
One way to do that is to keep students from area career and technology
centers involved with the HBA so that they'll eventually become members.
"We want to start to bring in youth to the association," she said.
Her goals for the Professional Women in Building Council are
similar to those for the HBA.
"We're looking to make this a very strong organization that positively
impacts the Greater Reading community," Sloan said. "That's what
it's all about." n
