part of this speedy timeline. There are still 4 more vaccines in phase three
trials, so it is conceivable that the current timeline for vaccination could
again be accelerated if more vaccines prove to be effective.
	 We now have a dual responsibility to our patients. First, we need
to give a message of hope and caution-stay safe for a little while
longer, help is on the way. Plan a big family gathering in 2021, not
this year. Second, when you get the chance to get vaccinated, do it.
The compressed timeline for the development of these vaccines did
not compromise their safety. Over 60,000 people have received these
vaccines with few major side effects, and great efficacy. The development
phase was incredibility rapid thanks to new technologies, but these
vaccines were tested as thoroughly as previous vaccine trials. I hope to be
rolling up my sleeve soon. And yes, I am optimistic for the future.
