If you're selling your home and wondering what to do with all
the stuff you've accumulated over the years, consider donating
it to a good cause. As the saying goes, "It is often better to give
than to receive."
Of course, some belongings are cherished and valuable and
will make the trip to your next home. The things you decide
you don't want any more, however, may turn out to be difficult
to sell or not worth as much as you think. I am often asked if
I know a place that will just take the stuff, and the answer to
that question is "yes." Here are several ideas to consider if are
looking to donate some of your stuff to a local organization
that will see that it gets put to use.

You also can sometimes donate to churches, and you may even
consider donating pet items to the Animal Rescue League or
Humane Society. I will be adding a detailed list of charities that

or organizations to contact me and I will add you to this list.
Please know these charities are not going to take junk - only
viable items.
Think of it; you get to move to a new home, while at the same
time spreading some happiness to those who may be less
fortunate. You can de-clutter your house and maybe get a tax
deduction for the goods you donated. Moving time is a great
time to let your inner philanthropist shine!
We sometimes have our differences in Reading and Berks
County, and we tend to have opinions that we fervently cling
to. When it comes to helping one another and doing the right
thing, however, there is no other community where I would
rather live and work.
