HUESKER announces
management changes

Raven Industries installs
seven-layer extrusion line

Sven Schröer returned to HUESKER's
headquarters in Germany and joined the
management board as managing director. In his new role, Schröer is in charge
of HUESKER's geosynthetic sales and
engineering activities worldwide. Flávio
Teixeira Montez took over Schröer's current responsibility as CEO of the U.S.
subsidiary HUESKER Inc. in Charlotte,
N.C. Montez cofounded HUESKER
Ltda. in São José dos Campos, Brazil,
in 1998, which he developed into one of
the most successful subsidiaries within
the HUESKER Group. André Estêvão
Ferreira da Silva, who joined HUESKER
20 years ago and has been an integral
part of the success in Brazil, took over as
the new managing director of HUESKER
Ltda. from Montez.

Raven Industries announced that its
Engineered Films division has completed
the installation and qualification of an
advanced seven-layer barrier extrusion
line, referred to as Line 15. This new
production line is in Raven's manufacturing facility in Sioux Falls, S.D. Raven
Engineered Films partnered with multiple industry equipment experts and
worked extensively over the past year
to design and install the new line. With
advanced capabilities, the line was specifically designed to produce complex
barrier structures for secure liquid containment and for the prevention of intrusive odors, gases and hazardous volatile
organic compounds.

Crafco acquires Telfer
Pavement Technologies'
Anderson, Calif., operations
Crafco announced it has acquired
Telfer Pavement Technologies' (TPT)
Anderson, Calif., operations. The move
augments Crafco's pavement preservation lineup while bolstering its presence
across the West Coast, the company said
in a prepared statement. Through the
addition, Crafco will offer an array of
paving fabrics, shade cloths, geogrids,
gabions and erosion control materials. It will also expand its geocomposites/geosynthetics lineup. The TPT-
Anderson unit will stock more Crafco
products and give customers access to
all Crafco materials and equipment. The
8,000-square-foot (743-m2) facility on
1.25 acres (0.5 ha) will be rebranded as
a Crafco Supply Center.

Lydall divests geosynthetic
installation business
Lydall Inc., through its wholly owned
subsidiary Texel Technical Materials
Inc., announced that it completed the
sale of Texel Geosol Inc. on May 9, 2019,
to FC Géosynthétiques Inc. Geosol
installs geosynthetic products in the
civil engineering and environmental
protection sectors, principally within the
province of Quebec, Canada. "We have
found the ideal purchaser that shares
our passion for this business and its
people," said Joe Abbruzzi, president
of Lydall's Technical Nonwovens segment. "FC's deep expertise in geosynthetics installation and their local market knowledge positions them well as
the new owner of Geosol. Additionally,
Texel's continued supply of geosynthetic
materials to FC ensures end customers will maintain access to high-quality
products and service."

Concrete Canvas signs Titan
as exclusive sales partner
for Canada
Concrete Canvas Ltd., manufacturer and
inventor of the innovative Concrete Canvas
Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat,
and Titan Environmental Containment
Ltd., a leading Canadian geosynthetics supplier, are pleased to announce that they
have entered into a distribution agreement
granting Titan exclusive rights to distribute Concrete Canvas in Canada. Concrete
Canvas has several core applications, with
the Canadian market being focused to date
on channel lining in the mining sector.
Other applications include, but are not limited to, bund lining, slope protection, weed
suppression and remediation of existing
concrete infrastructure. To support this venture, Titan has opened a new 4,200-squarefoot (390-m2) location in Squamish, B.C.,
Canada, complete with office and shop
space, and has added two new members to
its team, Ron Drewry and Rebecca Spitzer,
who are dedicated to Concrete Canvas sales.
The product will be available from all Titan
locations across Canada.

Brachman to present the
inaugural Zornberg Lecture
The Zornberg Lecture Selection Task
Force, comprised of the presidents of
IGS Argentina, IGS Brazil, IGS Mexico,
IGS North America and the chair of the
IGS Pan-American Activities Committee,
has appointed Dr. Richard Brachman,
from Queen's University, Canada, as the
first Zornberg lecturer. Brachman will
be delivering the inaugural Zornberg
Lecture at GeoAmericas 2020, the
fourth Pan-American Conference on
Geosynthetics, which will be held in Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil, April 26-29, 2020.
