Jefferson to team

Jefferson has joined the team in the role
of technical manager and international
sales. With more than 30 years' experience in the geosynthetics industry, he
brings in-depth technical knowledge of
geomembrane materials in various applications in addition to a solid background
in geomembrane fabrication. " Bryant
is an outstanding addition to the Titan
Environmental USA team and brings a
wealth of knowledge and experience to
his role, " said Tonya Switalski, general
manager of Titan USA. " We are very
excited to have him on board. " Working
out of Colorado, Jefferson is responsible
for sales and estimating in the U.S. and
international markets.

CET Infrastructure has announced that
it has acquired independent geotechnical
and geoenvironmental consultancy Card
Geotechnics Ltd. (CGL). With headquarters in Surrey, U.K., and some 75 staff
operating from bases across the U.K. and
Ireland, CGL is a consultancy providing innovative and pragmatic ground
solutions for its current clients. CGL
has a long history of working as specialist advisors to design and construction
teams across residential, commercial
infrastructure and power sectors. Gary
Corrigan, managing director for CET
Infrastructure, said, " The acquisition of
CGL further strengthens our position
in the U.K. and Ireland geotechnical and
geoenvironmental consultancy market
and provides numerous synergies and
opportunities that will benefit both CET,

Solmax releases Leak
Location Suite
Geosynthetics manufacturer Solmax has
launched a Leak Location Suite (LLS) that
raises the bar on electric liner integrity
(ELI) surveys. Solmax's LLS aims to raise
standards with its advanced approach,
building repeatable liner testing and
remediation into containment design.
The LLS comprises a customizable conductive liner, patented Iso-wedge installation tool and spark tester. The value
lies in the conductive bottom surface of
the liner. It enables ELI testing of covered
or exposed geomembranes without the
addition of a physical conductive layer-
i.e., flooding the substrate or hydrating
the subgrade, which can be costly, logistically difficult, and may require subsequent removal and containment of the
water waste.

ASCE honors Berg
Ryan R. Berg, P.E., D.GE, of Ryan R. Berg
& Associates Inc., in Woodbury, Minn.,
has been honored by the American Society
of Civil Engineers (ASCE) with the 2021
Martin S. Kapp Foundation Engineering
Award " for his expertise in geosyntheticreinforced earthworks and retaining structures and for his lifelong contributions
to the developments and applications of
mechanically stabilized earth retaining
walls, which helped create innovative solutions for practical problems. "

Woodlands, Texas, office will focus on
