Solmax acquires TenCate
Geosynthetics
S
olmax announced it has reached an
agreement with Koninklijke TenCate
of the Netherlands on the acquisition of
TenCate Geosynthetics, a global provider
of geosynthetics and industrial fabrics.
Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec
(CDPQ) and Fonds de Solidarité FTQ,
Solmax's long-term financial partners, are
both investing in this transaction.
" This is the joining of two leading
companies in their respective segments,
recognized globally for the quality of
their products and services, that are
bringing their geosynthetic products
together under the same roof for the first
time, " said Jean-Louis Vangeluwe, president
of Solmax. " This transaction will
increase their products' use in civil engineering,
road infrastructure, hydraulic
and environmental works. "

Inland Tarp & Liner merges
companies, creates ESOP
Inland Tarp & Liner LLC announced that
its three sister companies-Inland Tarp &
Cover Inc., ITC Services Inc. and Inland
Tarp & Liner LLC-have been put into
a holding company and sold 90% to an
employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) as
an additional retirement plan for employees,
and 10% to a charitable trust supporting
various 501c3 charities with 10% of
the profits year after year.

WSP acquires Golder
WSP Global Inc. has completed its previously
announced acquisition of Enterra
Holdings Ltd., the holding company of
Golder Associates. Golder is a global
consulting firm with approximately 7,000
employees and 60 years of experience in
providing earth sciences and environmental
consulting services.

54,000 employees around the world as we
begin our journey together as the leading
global environmental consulting firm, "
said Alexandre L'Heureux, president and
CEO of WSP.
IGS announces Educate the
Educators events for 2021
The International Geosynthetics Society
(IGS) announced it had allocated funding
in the society's 2021 budget for
Educate the Educators events in the following
countries:
* Egypt
* South Africa
* Colombia
* Chile
* Honduras
* Vietnam
* Malaysia
* Romania
* Italy
* Germany
* United Kingdom
While not all events can take place in
person, IGS hopes virtual initiatives will
continue to educate, inform and inspire.
Alongside this, the recently formed IGS
Foundation (IGSF) continues to fundraise
to support Educate the Educators
programs around the world.
Concrete Canvas Ltd.
announces U.S. expansion
Concrete Canvas Ltd. is launching a
major expansion into the U.S. market.
A newly incorporated Concrete Canvas
USA Inc. has taken primary responsibility
for the sale and master distribution
of Concrete Canvas products across the
United States.
Concrete Canvas will be opening a
new office in Houston, Texas, to support
customers through a combination
of direct and distribution sales through
regional partners. The company will continue
to work with its established sales
partners in the U.S., and Concrete Canvas
is looking for new distributors to better
service untapped markets and territories.

Tensar products in Canada
Layfield Group announced an agreement
with Tensar International Corp.
for Canadian distribution of Tensar
geosynthetics products. Tensar is the
