stone, while moving away from pale
and desaturated furnishings.

across the globe.
What trends do you anticipate
staying or changing in the coming
years?
We anticipate that there are some
trends that will stay or change in the
coming years including bigger areas in
living spaces and continued growth in
rural areas, as people change the way
they look at buying homes with less
requirements to be near offices and
city centers.
Sustainability and legislation will
continue to have a high level of focus
and we anticipate an increased use
of automation driving a lower cost to
serve model.
Growth in the use of wood
substitutes such as laminates is also
expected to rise.
What is new in the space of
wood lacquers and varnishes
specifically for the Canadian
market?
As regulatory and labor laws continue
to tighten, the shift to water-based
products also continues. There is also a
growing demand for color management
in exteriors, especially for sidings.

the best finish and longevity?
Our top tip for achieving the best finish
and longevity is to truly understand customer needs and their internal processes so that
we can help them achieve their expected goals. Our partnership approach, service model
and knowledge of the production process ensures we bring efficient coating systems to the
