Jaco Maritz appointed CEO of SYSPRO
SYSPRO, a global provider of industry-built enterprise resource planning (ERP) software,
recently announced the appointment of Jaco Maritz as its global chief executive officer (CEO)
while co-founder Phil Duff will be stepping into the role of executive chairman. Maritz will
drive the business strategy and vision while overseeing the daily operations of the company.
SYSPRO will remain a privately-owned business.
Duff confirmed that Maritz's appointment is a result of a transition plan that was
implemented when he took on the chief operations officer role in 2019. During his tenure
as COO, Maritz has been responsible for the company's business operations, leading key
initiatives, implementing new policies and procedures, SYSPRO's financial strategy and
driving the companywide strategy and priorities.
" Jaco is an exceptional leader and has been the driving force behind the global alignment of
our strategy and vision. He lives our shared values of integrity, customer and partner success,
and has created an empowered team
globally that adds value at every touch
point, " says Duff.
As executive chairman, Duff will
continue to provide leadership, while
passing on his institutional knowledge
and expertise to the SYSPRO development
teams. He will also oversee the board's
activity as well as the external decision and
policy-making of the business, while giving
Maritz flexibility to run the company.

MKS Acquires Atotech
MKS Instruments, Inc., a global provider
of technologies that enable advanced
processes and improve productivity, has
acquired Atotech Limited for approximately
$4.4 billion in cash and MKS common stock.
Atotech is provider of process chemicals,
equipment, software and services for
printed circuit boards, semiconductor IC
packaging, and surface finishing.
" The acquisition of Atotech positions
MKS to accelerate roadmaps for future
generations of advanced electronics
devices, " said John T.C. Lee, president
and CEO of MKS. " Atotech's leadership in
functional and decorative surface finishing
will also extend MKS' product offering
for industrial applications and grow our

to welcome the Atotech team to the MKS
family. "

Sames' New Canadian Regional Manager
Sames North America recently welcomed Eric Korzer to its general industrial
sales team as regional manager for Quebec and eastern Canada. Korzer will
be reporting to Doug Leroux,
director of sales for the
company's Canadian subsidiary.
With sales experience from
Nordson's adhesives division,
Crevier Lubricants Technical
Adhesives and Novus Lighting,
Korzer also brings 25 years
of management experience
gained in the automotive field
from head office OEMs and
equipment sales to aftermarket
parts banners.
Sames says that Korzer will
be working with its Valued
Partner Distribution network
to continue growing those
relationships and businesses.
