Men's Soccer
The men's soccer team had one of its strongest seasons in recent memory in 2019, as the Chargers
went 14-5-3 overall and lost to eventual NEAC Champion Penn State Harrisburg on penalty kicks in the
semifinals. LBC has several terrific student-athletes returning for the 2021 season, including Nate Muckle
('22) and Kedric Yoder ('22), as Head Coach Tom Ardt and the Chargers host eight home games, including
a Homecoming contest versus Berkeley (N.J.) at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 25, immediately following the 1 p.m.
dedication of Willis & Martha Herr Stadium.
Women's Soccer
The Chargers advanced to the NEAC Playoffs for the ninth consecutive season in 2019, and after battling
injuries all year long two years ago, Lancaster Bible will look to be at full strength under new Head Coach
Jake Warren (see page 46). Bryanna Stutzman ('22) and Julia Hultstrand ('22) will help lead the Chargers,
who will host eight games at Donald H. Funk Field at Willis & Martha Herr Stadium, including the home
opener on Sept. 4 against Alfred.
Women's Volleyball
It will be an eventful fall in Horst Athletic Center, as the Chargers host 16 matches in September and
October. Head Coach Julie Brubaker took over the team in October 2020 but has yet to coach a match
for the Chargers. Brubaker welcomes back seniors Cassidy King ('22) and Rebecca Godshall ('22), as well
as junior Chloe King ('23). Like the women's soccer program, the women's volleyball team has advanced
to the NEAC Playoffs in nine consecutive seasons, and will look to make it 10 playoff appearances in the
United East Conference in 2021. The Chargers start the season at the Bob Jones Labor Day Tournament in
Greenville, South Carolina, returning home for a match against Moravian on Sept. 7.
