MBSSY Worship Band
MBSSY, the college's traveling worship
band, had a busy summer leading
others in praising the Lord through
song. In May, the band traveled to
Bryan, Ohio, to serve alongside Grace
Community Church. Additionally, in
partnership with Lancaster Evangelical
Free Church (LEFC) and Grace
Community Church of Willow Street,
the band performed at a community
worship night on June 28 at LEFC. At
Creation 2022 June 29-July 2 at Agape
Farms in Shirleysburg, Pa., MBSSY led
three worship sets including Thursday
evening from the main stage. The
group then served in mid-August at
Central Manor Camp in Washington
Boro, Pa., where the first meeting
occurred in 1892. The mission of MBSSY,
pronounced " embassy, " is rooted in
representation-in every opportunity,
they " seek to represent God, LBC and
each other to the people they serve. "
Men's Basketball
Men's Basketball Head Coach Jon Mack
shared that the Chargers have had
an ongoing relationship with Hope
Inspire Love for its annual Freedom
Walk, which aims to raise awareness
about human trafficking and sexual
exploitation while also raising funds for
a trauma-informed mentorship program
that helps survivors of sex trafficking
and exploitation. LBC basketball players
and coaches have helped with past
Freedom Walk setup and teardown
and also participated in the event. The
2022 Freedom Walk is set for Oct. 1 in
Musser Park in downtown Lancaster.
