Alleghany offers a variety of medical
services, including emergency medicine,
surgery and specialized senior behavioral
healthcare. The hospital's emergency
medicine department averages just an
11-minute wait time-much faster than the
national average, which means even better,
faster care for you and your loved ones.

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is also
recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center
by the American College of Cardiology and,
as of October 2021, was awarded a three-year
accreditation of computed tomography (CT) by
the American College of Radiology.
Just north of Alleghany County is Bath
County and Bath Community Hospital. Bath
Community Hospital is a 25-bed, not-forprofit,
Critical Access Hospital located in Hot
Springs. They provide services for the entire
family, including rehab and wellness, behavioral
health, diagnostic services, emergency services,
surgery, outpatient services, pharmacy,
ambulatory nurse clinic and respite care.
