YOUNG LOVE
Skylar Sheffer first met Christian Foschini in
middle school; they had a special connection
even then! A grade apart, they lost touch when
Skylar moved on to high school and again when
she attended college. After seven years of living
separate lives, Christian, who had gone into the
Marines, sent her a DM. He drove up from North
Carolina to visit her in Virginia for New Year's
weekend. " All feelings instantly came back, " she
says. They've been inseparable ever since.
Christian proposed on a snowy day in
Leatherwood, North Carolina, at his family's
mountain house. The weather was less than
cooperative, but nothing could ruin the " private
and special " moment they shared together that day.
ALL ABOUT FAMILY
A light and natural color palette of earthy sage
greens, browns and neutral tones was accented
with gold, seamlessly matching the couple's
outdoor ceremony setting. So did the simple nude
cake featuring a wooden " F " topper, symbolizing
their newly shared last name. They adored the
stunning centerpieces, later repurposing elements
of them as decor in their home.
Skylar and Christian reconnected with loved
ones at the reception, many of whom snapped
photos at the photo booth that they got to take
home. Their precious son being involved made the
day even more perfect, especially when they got
to share a sweet dance with him. " It was a special
family moment that we will cherish forever! "
