Between 2019 and 2025, we are investing more than $1
billion in the region to modernize the way we deliver care
to our patients. Our plans include new facilities, upgrades
to our existing spaces and new technology. Plans include:
* A 12-story tower expansion to Roanoke Memorial to
include an expanded Emergency Department, new
home for the Cardiovascular Institute, a second helipad
and additional parking.
* A recently opened 37,000-square-foot Carilion Mental
Health facility at Tanglewood Mall, serving patients at
all points of life through offerings from pediatrics to
geriatrics.
* Constructing a world-class Cancer Center in Roanoke.

LewisGale Medical Center, located in Salem, Virginia, is part
of HCA Virginia Health System, the Commonwealth's most
comprehensive provider network with 14 hospitals, 27 outpatient
centers, and six freestanding emergency rooms.
As the region's newest Level II Trauma Center, the hospital
stands ready to provide optimal care for sudden, lifethreatening
injuries. The prompt, comprehensive critical
care provided by the hospital not only benefits residents
close to the hospital, but also outlying areas as it now
serves as a back-up care center for rural and community
hospitals.
LewisGale Medical Center is on the leading edge of mental
wellness care in the region. Providers offer services in

that first responders carry an enormous emotional
