Dental specialist and business owner Misty Lenk is also a wife, mother, basketball coach
and community advocate. Dr. Lenk worked through 12 years of university to become
an orthodontist and built her business from scratch-all while having 4 children within
4 ½ years. " I had my first baby during residency, the second while constructing my
building, discovered I was pregnant again when my practice opened and had my fourth
two years later, " she says.
Dr. Lenk wants young girls, especially, to realize their potential. The influence of her
own dentists-also mothers and business owners-drew Lenk to the field of dentistry.
She discovered her talent and love for orthodontics while in dental school. " I love
science, art and people. I also value being a wife and mother. As an orthodontist, I can
use my talents to help others and balance work and family, " she says.

Lenk earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University
in 2002. She completed an orthodontic internship at the University of Florida in 2003
and earned her Masters in Oral Biology from Ohio State University in 2006. Dr. Lenk
is on the advisory committee of Clear Correct, Inc. and is an active member of several
professional organizations.
At Lenk Orthodontics, patients become like extended family. Because she had to work
hard to earn what she has, Dr. Lenk welcomes all patients, doing what she can to make
care possible for everyone. " We love our patients, " she says. " We want to give them
