une démarche qualité qui respecte des
normes communes de tri et d'agréage est
indispensable », convient Loïg ChesnaisGirard qui insiste par ailleurs sur la nécessité de favoriser les échanges quant
aux investissements portuaires à entreprendre.

logistiques et numériques. De quoi justifier la création d'une image de marque
commune qui permette à la pêche bretonne de résister.

Alors que la menace du Brexit reste
prégnante, la pêche bretonne fait
front commun sous une même bannière. Le président de la région Bretagne,
Loïg Chesnais-Girard, a officiellement
inauguré le groupement interportuaire
(Gip) Pêche de Bretagne le 22  mars à
Concarneau. En gestation depuis une
dizaine d'années, cette nouvelle structure est née l'an dernier afin de mieux
coordonner la mise en marché dans les
13 criées bretonnes. « L'objectif consiste
à développer les synergies entre les différents maillons de cette filière pour être
plus compétitifs », insiste l'élu.
Fruit d'une démarche de coopération
originale, sans statut juridique ni budget
propre, le Gip entend dépasser les frontières d'une gouvernance économique
hétérogène qui inclut notamment les
départements du Finistère et des Côtesd'Armor, ainsi que Lorient agglomération
et le Syndicat mixte pêche et plaisance de
Cornouaille (SMPPC).
Pour contribuer au renom d'une filière
d'excellence, plusieurs chantiers d'importance ont été engagés en l'espace
de quelques mois sous le pilotage d'Yves
Guirriec, ancien président de l'association

Launch of the Pêche de Bretagne interport group
While the threat of Brexit remains
significant, Breton fishing is united
under the same banner. The president
of the Brittany Region, Loïg ChesnaisGirard, officially inaugurated the Pêche de
Bretagne interport group on 22th of March
in Concarneau. After about ten years of
preparation, this new structure was created last year in order to better coordinate the marketing in the 13 Breton fish
auctions. "The objective is to develop synergies between the various links in this
industry in order to be more competitive,"
the elected representative insists.
The result of an original cooperation approach, without legal status or

its own budget, the interport group
intends to go beyond the borders of
a heterogeneous economic governance which includes the departments of
Finistère and Côtes-d'Armor, as well as
Lorient Agglomération and the Syndicat
Mixte Pêche et Plaisance of Cornouaille
(SMPPC).
To contribute to the reputation of a
sector of excellence, several major projects were launched in the space of a
few months under the guidance of Yves
Guirriec, former president of the association of fish auction managers in France.
"Harmonising operating regulations and
encouraging ports to integrate a quality

approach which respects common sorting and brokerage standards is essential," agrees Loïg Chesnais-Girard, who
also insists on the need to promote
trade in terms of port investments to be
undertaken.
Other interport group missions
include coordinating actions in favour of
training, employment and integration,
but also facilitating the convergence of
logistical and digital equipment. This justifies the creation of a common brand
image which will enable the Breton fishing industry to stand firm.
