LE MANAGEMENT PAR LES RESSOURCES

- Edith Penrose (1914-1996) : reposant sur quatre postulats (existence de
routines, rationalité limitée, sélection naturelle, marchés incomplets et imparfaits), sa réflexion met l'accent sur une distinction entre ressources matérielles
et humaines et sur l'importance de la compréhension des services que peut
retirer l'organisation de la combinaison de ces ressources.
- Birger Wernerfelt (né en 1951) : selon lui, la source principale de l'avantage
concurrentiel sur une longue période réside dans l'exploitation des ressources
de l'organisation.

- Jay B. Barney (né en 1949) : prolongeant les travaux de Birger Wernerfelt, il
propose une typologie des ressources et des critères d'opérationnalité pour la
théorie des ressources.

L'ÉCOLE ÉVOLUTIONNISTE

Le courant évolutionniste cherche à expliquer comment évoluent les organisations ainsi que les ressorts de l'innovation.
- Richard R. Nelson (né en 1930) et Sidney Graham Winter (né en 1935) : ils
sont considérés comme les pionniers de ce courant managérial ; leurs travaux
ont insisté sur la nécessité d'étudier les routines et l'histoire des organisations
pour appréhender leur évolution.

LA VISION SOCIOLOGIQUE
- Thomas J. Peters (né en 1942) et Robert H. Waterman (né en 1947) :
ces auteurs considèrent la culture interne de l'entreprise comme une des sept
variables essentielles de l'organisation.
- Renaud Sainsaulieu (1935-2002) : ses travaux ont contribué à mettre en
avant le rôle socialisateur des organisations ; pour lui, les concepts d'identité
individuelle et d'identité sociale sont également centraux pour comprendre le
fonctionnement et l'évolution des organisations.

LES APPROCHES PSYCHOSOCIOLOGIQUES

- Eugène Enriquez (né en 1931) : pour cet auteur, les organisations sont des
systèmes culturels, symboliques et imaginaires supports des désirs et des fantasmes des individus.

- Maurice Thévenet (né en 1953) : ses travaux mettent en évidence cinq
sources d'implication (environnement de travail, produits, organisation, métier,
valeur travail).

LA THÉORIE DES CONVENTIONS

- Luc Boltanski (né en 1940) et Laurent Thévenot (né en 1949) : dans cette
approche, les relations au sein de l'organisation sont décrites comme dépendant de conventions (rapport socialement construit et relativement stable) et
non pas de mécanismes de marché.
