IMPACT
AWARD
PLAYING IN THE MAJORS

IN his final summer at the University
of Florida, while earning a bachelor's
degree in marketing, Chase Baxley
was an intern at The Parts House.
Two days after graduation, he
began working for the company
full-time in Jacksonville, Fla.
"The Parts House management
team showcased such a professional
environment that I knew there was the
potential for further opportunity," said
Baxley. "After one day of post-college
freedom, I began there as a buyer."
Baxley is now responsible
for product strategy, product
replenishment, internal freight logistics
and the company's distribution center.
He appreciates that his company, and
the industry at large, is eager to bring
young professionals with a different
outlook into leadership positions.
"Understanding the importance of
showing respect while still conveying
your strategy or idea is key to earning
the continued support of senior
leadership," he said. "Remember, they
didn't become senior level management
by accident. Thanks to David Honig
and David Miller, I am able to contribute
in many ways at The Parts House."
Growing up, Baxley knew he
wanted to be an executive who played
golf. During his second year at The
Parts House, he achieved this dream

following a successful new program
negotiation with Goodyear Engineered
Products (now Continental).
"After the meeting we played golf at
TPC Sawgrass, and while standing on
#17, I had this moment of realizing this
is exactly what I want to do, and I'm
accomplishing my goals," Baxley said.
Baxley is a YANG member and
previously served on the association's
Marketing and Communications
Committee. Currently vice chairman
of the Education Committee and
active participant in the Job and
Career Development program,
Baxley appreciates the Auto Care
Association's "amazing platform to
interact with professionals outside
your normal day-to-day business."
"Working together for the 'greater
good' gives a sense of accomplishment
beyond personal success," he said.
In the future, Baxley hopes to
become CEO of a company or manage
his own business. Winning an Impact
Award clearly indicates that the industry
recognizes that this young leader is
well on his way to long-term success.
"I am grateful to be recognized by
the association with this award," said
Baxley. "I hope to inspire more young
people to strive for success at their
company and volunteer within the
industry to ensure our voice is heard."
