their Classic Collection, including
an M1, an E36 M3 Lightweight, their
M4 CSL, a beautiful Fire Orange
G82 M4, the new 2003 G87 M2, and
an X6M which was the six millionth
car produced at the Spartanburg
plant, and the first-ever XM. These
unique cars were on display for
everyone to see and photograph.
Special thanks to Tom Plucinski and
Alex Schmuck from BMW NA for
bringing these cars out and for consistently
supporting the BMW CCA
and our members.
After the morning Cars and
Coffee, a group of about 15 cars
headed out for a drive in the
Carolina mountains for the afternoon.
And, with that, the morning
and weekend had come to an end.
Final Thoughts
Weekends like this don't come along
often. There was a little bit of everything
that we car lovers enjoy about
this hobby: great people, great food,
great weather, a great location and
some amazing cars that we rarely get
to see and hear up close and personal.
Frankly, I was exhausted when it
was all over. But I had a big smile on
my face and I slept well Sunday
night. What an experience celebrating
the brand we love: M! Many
thanks to all the people that made
this weekend possible, those I mentioned
above and those that worked
behind the scenes to make this a
memorable weekend. It's events like
this that make membership in the
BMW CCA a very special experience.
