TIER CAR CARE
Milestones. This is my twelfth issue as co-editor of der Bayerische. Two years
of our bimonthly publication. A mere blip on dB's timeline when compared to
our production and layout manager, Raine Mantysalo, who has over 40 years
of involvement with this magazine. In this issue we recognize Raine for all of
his accomplishments, guidance, and fellowship with a look back through
decades of dB issues and stories told by other longstanding NCC friends.
As an added benefit, by using our chapter magazine to record our shared
experiences and highlight our members, we preserve our club's history.
NCC has been around since 1971 and we have the online archive of chapter
magazines to prove it. That's over 50 years of dBs! As someone that has
read nearly every issue, I can tell you our members have some awesome
stories to tell.
What are the perks of being an active, involved NCC member and
volunteer? The people of course! NCC'ers are a welcoming bunch and what
better way to meet members and start new friendships than through covering
events, writing member profiles, and spotlighting our fantastic sponsors.
Also, it gives me an excuse to take more photos. Lots of photos. (If you didn't
already know, I really like taking photos of cars.)
