Joe Geadrities began by discussing
the High-Performance
Drivers Education (HPDE) program.
Chuck Pompei followed with an
overview of the NCC Autocross
program. Rafael Garces gave an
overview of Tire Rack Street
Survival (TRSS), the driver education
program designed to teach
teenagers advanced car control.
Steven Tenney covered both his
Karting program and the Sim
Racing program - two of the club's
wheel-to-wheel competitive driving
programs. Doug Verner enticed the
new members with M Club Days,
something that's on my NCC
bucket list. Chris Wootten was
pleased to announce that Do-ItYourself
is back with a number of
new events. James Laws spoke
further about membership as well
as the NCC Concours program - the
DMC is coming up in September!
Robert Hopkins dazzled us with the
promise of an upcoming Creamery
Tour, which I'll be attending with
my whole family, among other
upcoming Tours events. Paul Seto
wrapped things up with the Social
Program, which is now back in full
swing! If you have any questions or
would like more information on a
particular program, please visit the

involved with the club!
After presentations and Q&A,
lunch was provided, which was a
great opportunity to catch up with
old friends and swap fun stories
with new ones. Paul was kind
enough to provide door prizes for
all of the new members, so after
lunch everyone walked away with
new BMW gear and accessories.
As I left the parking lot, the exterior
temperature display on my E30 read
97 degrees. It was a rather warm
ride home in my '91 318is, but the
torrential rains I encountered when
I entered Virginia cooled things off
significantly. Stephen Powell, if
you're still looking for an E30
I recommend one with air conditioning
that works above 85
degrees.
