Sons of Pericles Eyes Chapter Activations, Revenue Generation
The Sons of Pericles began the year with its annual Governors'
Conference in Washington, DC, September 16 and 17, where
chapter presidents from the United States, Canada, and
Greece were hosted for an informative and interactive event.
Supreme Lodge officers elaborated on their chosen committees, explained their goals for the year, gathered ideas and
updates from each chapter president, and discussed where
potential chapters can be started. The Supreme Lodge used
the meeting as a dual platform to host a workshop for the
chapter presidents, helping them to take what they learn back
to their home chapters and communities, which in turn, helps
sustain and potentially grow the Order.
To increase membership, the Supreme Lodge is working to
activate chapters in London, Ontario; Dayton, Ohio, Trenton,
N.J., Hammond, Ind., and Winnipeg, Manitoba, among other
potential areas. We rely heavily on Ahepans, Daughters of
Penelope and Maids of Athena in each respective area to help
garner interest to start new relationships and chapters. Please
contact the Supreme Lodge with leads to start a Sons chapter.
The Sons of Pericles will host its annual Greeks in LA
Weekend, January 13 to 16, 2017, Los Angeles. The weekend
features a basketball tournament, Greek Night, and other
exciting events. This event has become a national staple
for the Sons of Pericles and a success thanks in part to the
support received from West Coast membership. However, the
event is gaining support from throughout the United States
and Canada too.
Lastly, the Supreme Lodge announces a lucrative way to
bring in extra resources by creating an advertising structure
for the newly revamped website, www.sonsofpericles.org.
With the modernization of our website, the Supreme Lodge
has created an advertising plan that allows chapters to display

events (free of charge to members) as well as Greek-owned
companies wishing to add to their current advertising platforms. Although open to any entity, advertising opportunities
are geared toward promoting companies owned by AHEPA
family members. We believe it is highly beneficial for any
Greek-owned business that is looking for extra reach into
the Greek American community to advertise with us. It is
also our responsibility to assist any Brother or Sister in any
way that we can. Brotherhood and Sisterhood are two of the
most important ideals that AHEPA was founded upon and we
would be very remiss to overlook them. Thus, please contact
