AHEPA Fulfills Delivery of Protective Gear for Hellenic Police
AHEPA officers of Hellas District 25, led by District Governor
Efstathios G. Kefalidis, delivered protective equipment to
the Alexandroupolis Hellenic Police Department - a fulfillment of AHEPA's June 9, 2020 announcement to bolster
the Hellenic Police with protective gear valued at $27,250
(25,000€). They delivered the gear on August 4, 2020.
The Hellenic Police has been increasing its presence at
the Evros border in preparation for new surges of migrant
flow due to Turkey's forced migration policy.
"Their presence there is appreciated and needed as
Turkey continues to threaten with its systematic and forced
migration policy," Supreme President George G. Horiates
said, adding, "We thank our District 25 Ahepans for facilitating the delivery of the equipment."
The protective equipment will re-supply fully one battalion of the Hellenic Police's border guards.
Supreme President Delivers Commencement Address at
Inaugural OCS Graduation Ceremony
Supreme President George G. Horiates served as a commencement speaker for the inaugural graduation ceremony of Odyssey
Charter School, Wilmington, Delaware, June 13, 2020. In a socially-distanced ceremony that also featured remarks from Delaware
Governor John Carney and Elias Rigas, president, Odyssey Board
of Directors, 61 students received their diplomas.
Each graduate received an AHEPA Medal for Scholastic
Excellence and a certificate.

AHEPA Chapter 95, Wilmington, is a sponsor of the
school, which has more than 2,000 students enrolled in K
through 12.
The mission of OCS is to prepare students for a lifelong
enthusiasm for learning, develop a keen awareness of world
citizenship and culture, and establish critical thinking and
problem-solving proficiency through the added learning of the
Modern Greek language and Mathematics focus.
