AHEPA FAMILY CHAPTER NEWS
Andreas T. Stamboulidis Chapter 495, Whitestone, N.Y.
The chapter hosted the annual Empire District 6 AHEPA Family Christmas
Party, Dec. 17, 2017. The event, held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church,
Whitestone, honored the children of Saint Basil Academy who, along with
the children of the Holy Cross community, were entertained by Kamarr the
Magician. The Saint Basil Academy children were presented with individual
gift cards. Also, Ahepans presented a donation to the Academy for its summer
program. More than 280 persons were treated to a sumptuous luncheon.
District 8
Bay State District 8, Massachusetts
The district held its annual Bay State District 8 Winter Conference,
Jan. 27, 2018. Harris J. Booras Chapter 406, Watertown, Mass., hosted
the conference. Conferees from eight of nine chapters attended. (Photo

Acropolis Chapter 39, Haverhill, Mass.
The chapter prepared and delivered 70 Christmas baskets to
local elderly or needy housebound residents. The brothers
raise funds for the purchase of food and goodies for the basket
arrangements. Each basket is delivered directly so that each
resident receives a personal visit. The chapter has delivered an
average of 50 baskets per year since 2007.
Hellas Chapter 102, Lowell, Mass.
The chapter held its 6th Annual Christmas Dinner Dance where it presented scholarships and one special award to 16 high school seniors,
totaling $16,000. More than 200 persons attended despite a snowstorm.
The recipients were: Anthony Blatus, Rachel Brouillette, Alexis Cacace,
Ryan Cacace, Evan Christopoulos, Sawyer D'Amato, Nicholas Makiej,
Christopher Nacopoulos, Elias Papadopoulos, Joanna Piazas, Joseph
Quattrochi, Kyros Vergados, Sophia Vergados, Evanthia Zitis, and William
Zouzas. James Quattrochi received the chapter's Special Award.
