Spreading Care in Wilmington, N.C.
The members of the AHEPA 408 Apartment Board of Directors
assembled "care bags" for all the residents of AHEPA 408 Apartments,
Wilmington, N.C. They delivered the care bags to the property manager, who distributed them. The bags consisted of a face mask, hand
sanitizer, toiletries, and many cookies, crackers and treats.
In addition, the board presented a $500 allocation to Property
Manager Emma Adams to be used for resident needs, individually
or collectively, during the pandemic.
A special thank you to Maria Stasios for helping to organize this
event, Barbara Reynolds for making many of the masks, and to the
board members who lent their support.
"We appreciated everyone's generosity," Adams said.
Securing, Distributing PPE in Alabama
Looking to ensure the safety of residents and staff, AHEPA
Management Company Assistant Quality Assurance Manager Angela
Bush outreached to the Mobile County Health Department. As a
result, the department donated a procedure mask and a N95 mask
for each resident and staff person at all 12 AMC properties located in
Mobile and Baldwin Counties.
"We are very thankful for the MCHD and for the 1,800 masks that
were in great need," Bush said.
Bush delivered the masks to each of the properties. The Service
Coordinators at each property distributed them to the residents and
staff. Each staff member received six masks.
Combined, the properties total approximately 700 residents and
40 staff members.

KFC Rules in St. Louis
AHEPA Management Company Property Manager Elizabeth
Hanson went through a KFC drive-thru and noticed a sign in the
window that mentioned the new owners loved giving back to the
community. Elizabeth gave the KFC's manager her business card and
told him to call if he would be willing to treat the residents of AHEPA
53 Apartments in St. Louis to lunch in the future.
The manager did oblige. He provided 40 lunches during the first
week and another 36 lunches the week after for the residents.
As residents have been trying to stay in their units, a kind gesture
of a free, cooked meal made the residents happy and appreciative.
Elizabeth and Ron Schneider, maintenance staff, at AHEPA 53,
distributed the lunches.
