Groundbreaking Held for Indianapolis Affordable Assisted
Living Facility
AHEPA Management Company's development of Affordable
Assisted Living Facilities is well underway with a groundbreaking held for the company's Indianapolis site, AMC's first
AALF site, November 4, 2016. More than 75 guests attended,
including Past Supreme President/Former AMC President/
CEO Nick Smyrnis, AHEPA National Housing Corporation
President Angelo Kostarides, and varioius state and local
dignitaries. The groundbreaking was an exciting moment for
AMC and ANHC as they move forward with a new venture.
A groundbreaking for a second site at New Albany, Ind.,
was held November 16, 2016. The company's effort for a site
in Ohio is on hold pending further guidance from Ohio state
government. AMC is prospecting for additional sites for development in Indiana.
AMC's South Carolina properties have been fully rehabbed
and are finally fully occupied. AMC's for-profit entity

(Brentwood) is showing promise and much of the refurbishing
required has been completed.
AMC continues to function solidly with a talented and
professional staff leading the way. Many staff attended the
national LeadingAge Conference, a leading voice for aging in
America, including housing for the elderly.
AMC also hosted the Audit (Oversight) Committee, which
met to review operations, review staff issues and discuss
internal controls. Following the committee meeting, the AMC
Board of Directors met November 3 and 4, 2016, for its first
official review since the annual meeting held in April. The
agenda included: a general review of operations, discussion
on the financial performance of AMC for the quarter ended
September 30, 2016, cash advances made to AHEPA Housingsponsored properties, AALF updates, strategic planning and
bylaws review.
