AHEPA Chapter 64, Harrisburg, Pa.

The chapter announced the success of its second annual
Michael G. Athas / Deno Yenias Golf Tournament, which
was played at Mountain Branch Golf Club, Fallston,
Md., Oct. 10, 2016. Sixty-five golfers participated. The
chapter was honored to have WBAL Meteorologist Tony
Pann, as its guest. Proceeds benefited the chapter's
scholarship fund.
The chapter welcomed Pennsylvania State Representative Ryan
Mackenzie to its first meeting of the administrative year. Brother
Mackenzie, who serves as Chapter
60 President, Allentown, Pa., said,
"Many Ahepans seek to benefit
Greek-Americans by providing
scholarships and sports opportunities for young Americans. They also
are a philanthropic organization
which provides housing for senior
citizens as well." Membership
Committee Chairman and Chapter
Chaplain Dr. Michael Billys introduced Ms. Leah Sailhamer, who
represented U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta
(R-PA). She provided an update
on issues affecting the congressional district. The brethren, led
by Father Mark Lichtenstein, also paused in remembrance of the
victims of September 11.

champions,
Despina Mourta, 400m, and Dino
Dendopoulos, race walk, delivered
the Olympic Flame from Ancient
Olympia to the Odyssey Charter
School, Wilmington, September 24,
2016, as part of the school's 10th
anniversary and campus expansion celebration. The flame was
delivered using a torch from the
2004 Athens Games. A special cauldron had been created to enhance
the celebration's reenactment of
Olympic Opening Ceremonies.
