AHEPA 371 Apartments Holds
Rededication Ceremony
AHEPA 371, Inc. and AHEPA Management Company, held a rededication
ceremony of AHEPA 371 Apartments, on September 23, 2017. The affordable
senior apartment building, at 26700 Crocker Blvd., Harrison Township, Mich.,
recently underwent extensive property renovations.
The ceremony began with an introduction of officials by Lazaros Kircos,
president, AOC Housing, Inc. The invocation was given by His Eminence
Metropolitan Nicholas from the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit. John
Hatzis, president, AHEPA 371, Inc.; and AHEPA Omega Chapter 371, presented
the background of the building, and Township Supervisor Ken Verkest, also
spoke. The ribbon cutting for the rededication was followed by an Agiasmos
Service to bless the building and the units. More than 30 residents invited the
priests in for blessings of their units. A luncheon followed.
Renovations in the apartments included: new windows and sills, dishwashers, air conditioners, LED bulbs, new bathroom vanity and sink, new kitchen
counter tops, toilet, new kitchen flooring, bathroom flooring, bathtub and
bathtub cut outs.
In 20% of the apartments, all carpeting was replaced, the entire unit
painted, and the units received new range hoods, entry doors, stoves, refrigerators, and closet and linen closet doors.
Property renovations for all common areas and function rooms included:
painting, new flooring, new lighting, room renovations and more. The parking
lot was also replaced, siding and trim was replaced and landscaping was renovated. The entry and security camera systems were updated and new electrical
panels were installed, just to name a few of the updates.
AHEPA 371 was constructed in 1990 and has 79 units. The property manager is Michelle Koba.
