AHEPA FAMILY CHAPTER NEWS

Lakeshore Chapter 205, Chicago
The brothers donated more than $700 in toys for Christmas to Lurie
Children's Hospital, Chicago, Dec. 22, 2013. In addition, the chapter
raised more than $1,000 for relief efforts for the victims of a devastating tornado that struck Washington, Ill., by working with local
churches and Hellenic organizations. The chapter will continue to
raise funds for this relief effort. Finally, Chapter 205 is committed
to donate a minimum of $1,000 toward the Apostoli "Feed the
Children" program. The chapter is proud its membership has grown
to 27 during the past year, and its members are focused on bringing
together like-minded young professionals from around the city to
promote the values and mission of AHEPA.

Passing of PST
John Deoudes
AHEPA mourns the passing of Past Supreme
Treasurer John N. Deoudes, Bethesda, Md.,
who passed away February 12, 2014. He was 90.
"Brother Deoudes was a well-respected, high-spirited
Ahepan who gave tremendously to the Order," Supreme
President Anthony Kouzounis said. "He will be sorely missed
by the Greek American community of Washington and all
those who loved and knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are
with his family. May his memory be eternal."
Brother Deoudes was a Life Member of Washington
Chapter 31.
Husband of Mary Scounas Deoudes; father of Nicholas
(Kathleen), William (Olga), Thomas (Cynthia) and JoAnn D.
Calomiris (George); grandfather of John and Angelica, John
and Dimitri, Valerie D. Kranias (Michael) and Andrea, Alexa
and Julia. Also survived by his cousin, Katherine G. Deoudes.

Thomas Lukas
AHEPA is saddened by the passing of Past Supreme Counselor
Thomas James Lukas, Long Beach, N.Y., who died
November 14, 2013.
"Brother Lukas served the Order with pride and
passion," Supreme President Anthony Kouzounis
said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
May his memory be eternal."
Beloved husband of Thomie. Loving father of
Annoula, Demmy and Jeannie. Dear grandfather of
Lukas and Jonathan.
