Overseas Support
Support for the campaign has come from Germany. The
AHEPA family of Stuttgart raised nearly 2,000 Euros from its
successful "New Year's Eve" race. Five AHEPA family members
from Chapter 608, Stuttgart, participated in the race to raise
the funds.

my visitations throughout the AHEPA domain it is clear that
districts, chapters, and individual members have either already
donated or are in the planning stages of a fundraising drive. I'm
confident we will reach our goal."

Marathon Chapter 2, Charlotte, N.C. presented Supreme
President Phillip T. Frangos with a $5,000 donation toward
AHEPA's capital campaign drive. Brothers Louie Politis, chairman, Marathon Chapter 2 Foundation and George Kokalis,
Chapter 2 president, made the presentation at the District 3
workshop
Also in January, William Penn Chapter 61, Reading, Pa., and
Steve Kolidakis Chapter 155, Hopewell, Va., donated $2,000
and $1,000 respectively to the Saint Nicholas campaign.
Donations from parishioners at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek
Orthodox Church, Reading, Pa., as well as proceeds from the
annual AHEPA Chapter Christmas Party, helped to raise the
$2,000.

National Day of Action

Interactive Campaign Webpage

AHEPA's National Day of Action for its campaign drive took
place Sunday, December 7, 2014, in correlation with the Feast
Day of Saint Nicholas.
One success story from the
day is Memphis Chapter 7.
The chapter raised $600 from
a pancake breakfast it held at
Annunciation Greek Orthodox
Church. Equally impressive was
the fact that the chapter's fundraising effort that day was featured in The Commercial Appeal,
the predominant daily newspaper
of Memphis.
Chapter 7 President John Kay told the newspaper, "...it was
especially important to rebuild the church at ground zero so it
could also serve as not only a memorial but a place of reflection
for people from all over the world."
Several chapters in El Camino District 20 embarked on a
series of fundraising events December 6 through 16 to contribute to the National Day of Action that raised $3,225 cumulatively. In addition, District 20 also set-up a webpage for its

AHEPA launched an interactive webpage from its ahepa.org
website specifically for the campaign to build Saint Nicholas
National Shrine. The webpage,
www.ahepa.org/stnicholascampaign, has been a successful complement to AHEPA's mobilization
of grassroots effort, attracting individual online donors. The webpage allows folks to view all the
latest news about the campaign
because it shares success stories,
displays the latest tweets with
the hashtag, #RebuildStNicholas,
and provides an updated, rotating
donor "thank you" panel.
"We are grateful to our grassroots for their eagerness to
support this campaign and for their enthusiasm," said Past
Supreme President and Chairman of the Board Nicholas
Karacostas, who chairs the AHEPA-Saint Nicholas National
Shrine Campaign. "Thanks to them, we are off to a promising
start. We've got to keep the momentum going until we reach
our goal-together."

A $5,000 donation is presented to Supreme President Frangos for the
AHEPA-Saint Nicholas capital campaign by Brothers Louie Politis,
chairman, Marathon Chapter 2 Foundation and Chapter 2 President
George Kokalis of Charlotte, N.C.
