The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel profiled
Supreme President John Galanis in its
January 27, 2016 edition. The article,
"Lawyer relishes leading Greek-American
group," by Bill Glauber, reported on
the supreme president's recent participation on a three-country Leadership
Mission to Israel, Cyprus and Greece
with the American Hellenic Institute and
American Jewish community leaders.
Galanis recounted that he got emotional
when making a toast at the Officer's Club
in Athens.
"If my parents could see me," he told
Milwaukee's daily newspaper.
The article also delves into AHEPA's
storied founding and history and recent
humanitarian and philanthropic programs, including the campaign to help
rebuild Saint Nicholas National Shrine
at World Trade Center. Galanis also
shared his own family's immigration
story to the United States in the early
20th century.

The AHEPA family presented His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Father Costa
Sitaras, executive director, Saint Basil Academy; and Evellyn Tsiadis, PGP and
president, Saint Basil Academy Board of Trustees, with the AHEPA's family's
annual gift contribution for the children enrolled at Saint Basil Academy, Garrison,
N.Y., Dec. 5, 2015.

L. Sitaras, executive director, Saint Basil Academy, wrote. "God bless you for your

Christmas Break with their
host families. You brighten
our children's lives each
Christmas Season."
For more than 60
years the AHEPA family has been an active
supporter of Saint Basil
Academy and will always
remain a champion of
the academy to help it
meet its worthy mission.
