Members of Congress Visit AMC Communities
U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) toured AHEPA 232 Senior Apartments
of Indianapolis, met with the ANHC and AMC leadership, and
engaged with residents in a Q&A session, on May 25, 2021.

Lisa Crenshaw met with Congresswoman Spartz and discussed
the challenges the affordable elderly housing sector faces.
" We are excited to welcome Congresswoman Spartz for a tour
of one of our AHEPA affordable senior living communities in
Indianapolis, " Beck said. " Access to safe and dignified affordable
housing for our nation's vulnerable seniors, and the supportive
services needed to allow them to age in place and live independently,
is a priority. We commend Congresswoman Spartz's
attentiveness to the issues impacting seniors and appreciate her
interest in our mission. We look forward to working with her. "
Rep. Spartz issued a news release about her tour of AHEPA 232.
" We had a productive conversation about the need for more
affordable housing for seniors and the challenges the sector
faces, " she said.
" It is an important issue that we need to take a serious look
at as well as making improvements in long-term care options.
I'm focused on supporting and empowering our seniors to live
their best life, " Spartz added.
Spartz represents Indiana's Fifth Congressional District,
which includes AMC's headquarters in Fishers and four AMCmanaged
affordable housing for the elderly and disabled communities
in Indianapolis.
U.S. Rep. Walorski Visits HSL of Elkhart
U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) visited Hellenic Senior Living of
Elkhart and met with AHEPA National Housing Corporation and
AHEPA Affordable Housing Management Company leadership
and staff during her one-hour visit, Aug. 30, 2021.
Congresswoman Walorski met with AMC President and CEO
Steve Beck, ANHC Board Secretary Angelo Kostarides, and Board
Members Angela Magrames and Panos Niarchos. They discussed
the importance of providing vulnerable seniors with access to
quality assisted living services and the Low-Income Housing Tax
Credit program's key role in the development of the facility. They
also discussed the history of the AHEPA Housing program.

Hellenic Senior Living of Elkhart, especially as we just took
over its management on August 1, " Beck said. " The notion of
affordable housing playing a more central role as a platform for
the delivery of supportive services is taking root. As a proven
and credible provider of affordable elderly housing, AMC is at
the forefront of this trend with our four affordable assisted living
communities. Their financing was made possible with the
Housing Credit's help. Congresswoman Walorski, who is a longstanding
champion of the credit, appreciated seeing how it has
benefitted her constituents. "
Beck added, " We commend the Congresswoman's attentiveness

in our mission. We look forward to continuing to work with her
and her staff. "
Congresswoman Walorski represents Indiana's 2nd
Congressional District, which also includes Mishawaka and
South Bend. There are four AMC communities in her district.
