I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the entire AHEPA family for an extraordinary and productive
year ahead. I thank the 2022 Daughters of Penelope Supreme Convention delegation for placing
their confidence in me as Grand President. You also have placed your confidence in a talented Grand
Lodge: Grand Vice President Marianthi Treppiedi, Grand Secretary Margaret Dritsas, Grand Treasurer
Antoinette Marousis Zachariades, Grand Governor Zone I Marianne Boutsioulis, Grand Governor
Zone II Patty Didik, Grand Governor Zone III Tina Bullock, Grand Governor Zone IV Robbie Jackson,
Grand Governor Zone V Nicki Douklias, and Grand Advisor to the MOA Effie Kirkiles. Along with our
Executive Director, Elena Saviolakis, we are eager to work with our Sisters throughout the domain supporting,
encouraging and celebrating our organization. Our mission before us is clear. Strengthening our
Sisterhood - through membership growth, financial growth, and program initiatives.
On behalf of the Daughters of Penelope, I convey our heartfelt congratulations to Jimmy Kokotas
on his reelection as Supreme President, Maria Ana Pantelous on her reelection as Maids of Athena
Grand President, and Ryan Marinos on his election as Sons of Pericles Supreme President, and to their
respective lodges. We look forward to collaborating with the AHEPA family to promote our respective
organizations, programs and initiatives. Together, we can make greater strides. Together, we can
achieve loftier heights. Together, our potential is boundless.
This year, the focus of the Daughters of Penelope is to empower women. We are going to unleash
the energy of the " Power of We! " As we begin the year, after realizing an increase in our membership
by over 1,000 Sisters last year, we are motivated with a great sense of pride and positive energy. " The
Power of We, " empowering Women, will ignite a stronger commitment of belonging in our Sisterhood.
Our vision is clear:
When we empower women, we empower ourselves;
When we encourage women, we motivate ourselves;
When we acknowledge the strength in women, we recognize our personal resilience within ourselves;
When we recognize women's achievements, we shine the light on our own successes;
When we embrace the possibilities, we set a path of growth;
When we learn from other women, we uncover talents within ourselves that we may have not noticed
in the past.
The future is bright for the Daughters of Penelope. We invite you to join us on this journey. Warmest
wishes for a fruitful and positive year for the AHEPA family.
