North Miami
The AHEPA North Miami Senior Apartments residents oversaw
decorating the community's Christmas tree. The residents
also distributed food, toiletries and housekeeping
supplies sponsored by two medical centers and welcomed
the new year with a Three Kings breakfast. Finally, the residents,
and separately, the AMC staff, enjoyed a luncheon to
celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

hosted by the community,
December 10, 2021.
AHEPA 100
AHEPA 100 Senior Apartments, South Bend, Ind., held its annual holiday
dinner, sponsored by AHEPA Chapter 100, December 15, 2021. The
residents had a great time.
Penelope 54 Hosts Health Fair
Penelope 54 Senior Apartments, Houston, closed out 2021 by hosting
a Health Fair for its residents. Health and wellness checks, such as for
blood pressure and glucose, were offered. Residents could also receive
their flu shots. Local Area Agency on Aging and Medicare representatives
were among the groups manning information tables.
AHEPA One Hosts Chronic
Disease Workshop
The risk of basic activities of daily living (BADL) limitations
may increase with the presence of multiple chronic conditions,
which limits older adults' ability to live independently.
The AHEPA One Senior Apartments community of
Decatur, Ga., teamed-up with Open Hand Atlanta to present
residents with a six-week Chronic Disease Workshop.
Residents created actions plans, and at the workshop's
conclusion, each resident presented what they learned.
Residents received Certificates of Completion.
