PSP Horiates Testimonial Raises
$100K for Century Capital Campaign
The testimonial dinner for Past Supreme President George G. Horiates, held at
the historic Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Nov. 20, 2021, raised more than
$100,000 for AHEPA's Century Capital Campaign.
" We congratulate Past Supreme President Horiates on a well-deserved evening
of accolades, and we are grateful for his helping to raise significant funds for our
campaign to secure the Order's future, " Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas said.
" Thank you to everyone who supported this truly unique and epic event. "
Kokotas presented Horiates with the Order's inaugural " Defender of
Hellenism " Award.
Ambassador of Greece to the U.S. Alexandra Papadopoulos, Ambassador of
the Republic of Cyprus to the U.S. Marios Lysiotis, U.S. Congressman Donald
Norcross of New Jersey, Consul General of Greece Konstantinos Koutras,
Daughters of Penelope Grand President Kathy Bizoukas, Chairman of the Board
of Trustees Nicholas A. Karacostas, PSP, addressed the audience. In addition,
Supreme President of the Pan Icarian Brotherhood of America Cathy Pandeladis
presented a $10,000 donation from the organization's foundation to AHEPA, earmarked
for the Canadair Maintenance vehicles under the wildfire relief program.

Co-chair of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of
America's 46th Biennial Clergy Laity Congress
by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of
America. The Clergy
Laity will convene in
New York City, July
3-7, 2022.

Brother Karacostas was invested as an
Archon of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle
of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in November
2010 and holds the title Archon Nomophylax.
He has also served for 12 years on the Parish
Council of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox
Church of Flushing N.Y. and three terms as its
president.
