AMC Announces New
VP of Operations Hire
AHEPA Affordable Housing Management Company
(AMC) has hired LaChele Weaver as vice president
of Operations, announced AMC President and CEO
Steve Beck.
Weaver has been a licensed health facility
administrator for more than 24 years, with extensive
operations and marketing experience in skilled
nursing facilities, assisted
living communities, independent
living communities,
rehab facilities, continuing
care retirement
communities, inpatient and
outpatient therapy organizations,
and physician and
nurse practitioner services.
During her career, she has completed successful
operational startups, financial turnarounds, and
regulatory compliance projects.
LaChele currently serves as the board chair of
the Indiana Assisted Living Association for which
the Indiana Chapter of the American College of
Health Care Administrators named her as the 2016
Administrator of the Year. She also has served on
the boards of the South Carolina Association of
Non-Profit Homes for the Aging and LeadingAge
Indiana.
Weaver completed her MBA at Indiana State
University in 2001. She is a 1993 graduate of Brown
University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Health
and Society with an emphasis in Gerontology and
a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and
Management with an emphasis on health care organizations.
LaChele
lives with her husband of 21 years,
Scott, in Plainfield, Ind. They share their home
with nine rescue dogs and six cats saved through
their work with Sacred Sycamore Animal Rescue,
of which LaChele is a founding member. When not
covered in dog hair or working, LaChele and Scott
enjoy the outdoors, camping, boating, and hiking.
Johnson Recognized for 15 Years
of Service
Angelo Kostarides, president of AHEPA 232, Inc., Indianapolis, presented
Property Manager Linda Johnson with her 15-year service plaque. Johnson
is the property manager for AHEPA 232- I and II Senior Apartments since
2012.
" Linda is one of the best managers of our affordable senior living communities,
giving her all for our wonderful seniors, " Kostarides said. " Linda
continues to be an inspiration and mentor to others at AHEPA Management
Company. "
Under Johnson's management, AMC properties receive superior inspection
ratings from HUD. She began her AMC career in 2005, managing AHEPA
192-I Senior Apartments in Johnston, Iowa. The property scored a 99% on
the REAC inspection (Real Estate Assessment Center) and a Superior on the
MOR (Management Occupancy Review). At AHEPA 232-I, Johnson earned a
92% REAC score, and at AHEPA 232-II, she earned a 97% REAC score and a
superior MOR rating.
She has been instrumental in opening new properties in San Bernardino,
Calif., and the Woods at Crooked Creek, Indianapolis. Johnson has trained a
considerable number of new AMC managers throughout the country.
Johnson began her 32-year property management career in southern
California with the Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA)
where she learned the necessary skills from her mentor, Lois Reed. She
holds several property management certifications, including the COS
(Certified Occupancy Specialist), CPO (Certified Professional of Occupancy),
RAM (Registered Apartment Manager), TCS (Tax Credit Specialist), NHAP
(National Housing Association), and a 504 coordinator.
Johnson has been blessed with two sons, David and Matthew, and seven
grandchildren.
