Daughters of Penelope Menelaos Chapter 53
Atlanta, Ga.
The chapter donated 40 turkeys to
the Saint John the Wonderworker
Orthodox Church in Atlanta to
benefit their Loaves & Fishes
Ministry for families in need.
This service allows many families
to enjoy their holiday dinner
together as a family. Sherry
Kliossis (pictured with a volunteer)
and Mary Alice George chaired
this philanthropic project. The
chapter also raised $1,000 for gift
cards that were distributed to families
who have struggled during
the pandemic.
Palmetto Chapter 284, Columbia, S.C.
Ahepans hosted a lunch meeting with Richland County
Sheriff Leon Lott and the City of Columbia Chief of
Police Hal Holbrook. During the meeting, they were
each presented with a $500 donation for their respective
Foundations in support of their unwavering
efforts to serve and protect. Pictured (l-r): Nick Stefan,

AHEPA Chapter 343, Nashville, Tenn.
The chapter hosted Supreme President George G. Horiates for a Greek Bicentennial visit
to the Parthenon of Nashville. Chapter officers accompanied the Supreme President at
Centennial Park, home of the festivities. Supreme President Horiates also toured AHEPA
343 Senior Apartments, located in LaVergne. There, he presented AHEPA National
Housing Corporation Executive Board Member John Miller, a veteran, with an AHEPA
Medal, for his service to the United States. Horiates also me several residents and Property
Manager Elizabeth DePena.
In separate initiatives,
the chapter honored Brother
James Mitchell, former
AHEPA 343 Housing Board
president, for his selfless service to build AHEPA 343 Apartments. The
chapter also donated $1,000 to Operation Stand Down Tennessee that
supports Nashville-area veterans, and donated $500 to Freedom Reigns, a
non-profit established for children and young adults who have experienced
trauma and other life challenges. This non-profit utilizes neglected horses,
who have been nurtured back to health, as relationship animals to help
support the survivors of trauma.
