George Papaeleas Chapter 367
Washington Heights, N.Y.
The chapter was honored to host Supreme President George
G. Horiates at its March 28, 2021 virtual Zoom meeting.
AHEPA District 6 Secretary Chris Pappis also attended. The
chapter has had a " resurgence " of membership in the last two
years, nearly doubling in size, and it looks to build off that
momentum.
James Plevritis - Joseph C. Keane Chapter 405
New Rochelle, N.Y.
Working with the New Rochelle, N.Y. community, Ahepans
secured the donation of more than 40,000 dairy-based protein
shakes from Delta Greek Foods and arranged for their delivery to
Feeding Westchester for distribution to individuals in need, March
1, 2021. Supreme Governor Thomas Dushas and Eva Dushas
orchestrated the donation. They received assistance and support
from Chapter 405 Board Chairman Joe Keane, William McKinley
Chapter 91 President Steve Eoannou, Past District 5 Governor
Dr. Zenon Christodoulou, and Despina Kartson, a member of the
Philoptochos of Holy Trinity, New Rochelle. The group delivered
the donation to Feeding Westchester's Director of Operations Ryan
Brisk (Pictured l-r: Brisk, Dushas, Keane, and Kartson).
George Chirgotis Chapter 455
West Nyack, N.Y.
To promote Greek culture and traditions, the chapter sponsored
an afternoon of kite flying and distribution of loaves of
Lagana flatbreads to families of Saints Constantine and Helen
Greek Orthodox Church, March 14, 2021, thus marking the
beginning of Lent. Ahepans assembled many beautiful kites
and gave them to Greek School students and their families to
fly and more than 90 loaves were distributed at this inaugural
event.
Ioannis Kapodistrias Chapter 458
Island Park, N.Y.
The chapter welcomed District 6 Lt. Gov. Dean Moskos for a visitation
to the chapter's in-person, socially-distanced April 20, 2021
meeting.
