District 12
Hancock Chapter 103, Weirton, W.V.
The chapter presented Brother Steve Psaros with the Buckeye
District 11 Ahepan of the Year. Brother Psaros chaired several
beneficial events for the Weirton community. Pictured (l-r): Max

Hoosier District 12, Indiana
An AHEPA Hoosier delegation visited with Past Supreme
President Nick Smyrnis, the oldest living past supreme president,
on the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence, March
25, 2021. They enjoyed lunch and fellowship, discussing AHEPA
history. Brother Smyrnis was also instrumental in the establishment
of the AHEPA National Housing Corporation and served as
AHEPA Management Company president and CEO.
Ypsilanti Chapter 118, Toledo, Ohio
Ahepans served breakfast to 200 students of Spring Elementary
School in Toledo over two days. The students were taking their
state required tests and the teachers and administrators wanted
them to have a good breakfast to start the day and prepare for
the testing. The brothers prepared and provided a breakfast of
scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancakes. Pictured are Ahepans
Chadd Schwartz, Greg Cook, and Tony Capranica, and Holy
Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral priest, Father Larry Legakis,
also an Ahepan.
James Whitcomb Riley Chapter 232
Indianapolis, Ind.
The chapter hosted Supreme President George G. Horiates for
a visit, April 17, 2021. Supreme President Horiates presented
Chapter 232 President Matthew Kochevar, Hoosier District
12 Governor Panos Niarchos, and immediate Past President
of AHEPA National Housing Corporation Angelo Kostarides
with a plaque in recognition of Hoosier District 12's exemplary
efforts to commemorate the Bicentennial of the Greek War of
Independence. The District 12 AHEPA family of Indiana led the
entire AHEPA domain in proclamations secured and flag-raising
ceremonies to commemorate Greece's Bicentennial. In addition,
the Ahepans provided Supreme President Horiates with a tour
of AHEPA 232 Senior Apartments communities.
