U.S.-Greece relations. They also congratulated AHEPA on its centennial
anniversary.

Alexandroupolis Visit
Alexandroupolis is gaining increased geostrategic importance
as an energy hub and NATO staging ground.

Supreme Secretary Savas Tsivikos, Supreme Governor Yiannis

Sofianou, AHEPA District 25 Governor Kostas Varsamis, AHEPA
Cyprus & Hellenic Affairs Chairman Dr. Zenon Christodoulou,
AHEPA Executive Director Basil Mossaidis, and DOP Executive
Director Elena Saviolakis, accompanied Supreme President
Kokotas on the Greece portion of the trip.
Cyprus
Prior to arriving in Athens, the delegation visited Alexandroupolis
for the dedication of an AHEPA Museum. The renovated building
where the museum is housed is a post-World War II former
AHEPA medical center built in 1948. The delegation also met
American and Greek military personnel working at the port to
transport equipment to the region.

The Leadership Delegation proceeded to Cyprus for a visit, April
7 to 9.
The delegation met with President Nicos Anastasiades,
Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Issues and
Overseas Cypriots Photis Photiou, and His Beatitude Archbishop
Chrysostomos II of Cyprus. Supreme President Kokotas also participated
at a press conference at the Presidential Palace, and
Commissioner Photiou hosted the delegation for a luncheon.
The delegation enjoyed attending a dinner hosted by Chapter
