SOP Expands in Indiana,
Scholarships Available

Congratulations as we celebrate the Order of AHEPA's
100-year anniversary! From starting as one Mother Lodge
chapter in 1922, to growing into a worldwide charitable
service organization, there is much to acknowledge. Our
future successes are determined by
the work we do as individuals and
collectively.
Spring arrived and it revitalized
the Sons of Pericles, bringing new
life and energy to the organization.
We continue to work hard, growing
and strengthening our chapters and aiding our members.
We are thrilled to report we have reactivated four
chapters. The most recent one occurred with Sophocles
Chapter 53 in northwest Indiana with the help of the
local AHEPA chapter. We're excited to watch our chapters
grow and work closely with our brothers. If you
have any young men in your communities who qualify
for Sons of Pericles membership, we encourage you to
please reach out to the Supreme Lodge. We'll take care
of the rest!
We will proudly announce another round of our
international Sons of Pericles scholarship awards this
year. We hope to build on the numerous applications
we received last year. Three scholarships totaling $3,000
are available to model SOP members for scholarly and
chapter accomplishments. High school, undergraduate,
and graduate students who are SOP members in good
standing are eligible. Our goal is to help brothers continue
on their paths of personal enrichment in support
of Heritage, Service, and Brotherhood.
We intend to maintain our course on this successful
path for the remainder of the year with the AHEPA family's
support. Thank you to everyone for your service. We
look forward to bigger and better moments to come. See
you at Disney World!
Regional Hoops Tourney Resumes,
Raises $3,000 for Charity
The Supreme Lodge eagerly restarted the SOP's regional basketball
tournaments. Our first trip back to the court since the pandemic happened
in Atlanta. Sons and Maids came from all over the United States
and Canada to compete. Charlotte took the title. In between games,
Supreme Lodge officers and chapter members joined together to initiate
candidates into the Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C. chapters.
Welcome to the brotherhood! We'd sincerely thank our sponsors and
everyone who attended. With your help, we were able to raise more
than $3,000 for our national project, the Ronald McDonald House, Greek
Division of New York.
Northwest Indiana SOP
Reactivated
At the District 12 convention, SOP Supreme Governor Basili Ronstadt
initiated 14 young men. These men reactivated the Northwest Indiana
SOP Sophocles Chapter 53. Their respective AHEPA chapters will support
this Sons chapter and help them thrive in Indiana. A special thank
you to Sons of Pericles National Advisor Nick Kavadas for his work to
help reactive the chapter. Welcome to the Brotherhood!
