The Military Order of the World Wars Youth Leadership Programs - 5

Much of the YLC is a team activity where participants
develop their teamwork with inter-group competitions.
Our participants hear and interact with civic, educational,
military, and other professionals who inspire and challenge
students to be impactful leaders. Activities include
flag-raising and lowering ceremonies, team-building,
communication exercises, essay writing, and student-led
discussion sessions. Student teams conduct an exercise
involving current critical topics facing our country. Each
team presents a skit to persuade their fellow students
of their solution, using various governmental and
non-governmental levers of power.
Participants benefit as they are more likely to take
responsibility for themselves and their lives, take on the
complex challenges presented during high school, college
years, and beyond, and embrace those challenges with a
can-do attitude.
