2014 Creative Arts Contest
Now Under Way!
"Moments of Life" is not only the name of NHPCO's new national campaign (discussed on page 10), it's also
the theme of the 2014 Creative Arts Contest - which opened on May 27 and will close on June 30. So please
take note, take out that camera, and share some of the special moments in the work you do:
Theme - Moments of Life: Made Possible by Hospice
NHPCO is seeking photographs and social media videos that capture
the many ways that hospice enriches the lives of patients and families.
Photography Submissions:
Medium- or high-resolution digital photographs are
preferred, and should be submitted in one of three
categories, depending on the subject(s) depicted:
adults; young people; or nature/abstract (i.e.,
hospice moments inspired by nature).
Eligible Artists:
Submissions may be created by staff, volunteers, or
others working in hospice; however, entries must be
submitted by a current NHPCO member-provider, or
an affiliate or international member organization.
(Third-party submissions will not be accepted.)
Social Media Videos:
Social media videos that capture "special moments
made possible by hospice care" are also being
accepted.
Submitting Entries:
Organizations must complete the Contest
Submission form (and a Release form for
photographs depicting people): See Awards/Contest.
recognizing the Winners
Winners will be notified by email in mid-August, with the winning entries shared in the Fall issue of
NewsLine as well as at the Clinical Team Conference in Nashville, TN.
Additionally, a PDF booklet showcasing the winning work will be posted online for even greater
visibility. (For a look at last year's winning images, see the 2013 Contest PDF booklet.)
