When it Comes to Making Customers Happy,
It's Time to Ditch Paper
In many banks, the status of a loan request depends on
where the file folder sits. If it is on the analyst's desk,
the loan committee hasn't seen it yet. If it is on the due

Workflow helps ensure that lenders are working renewals well
in advance of the loan maturity, which has moved the Bank
from " just in time " to " more proactive " communication.
The Bank has also experienced significant timesaving from
the patented Sageworks Electronic Tax Return Reader. By
automatically importing data from electronic PDF returns,
analysts at Marine Bank are saving 30-45 minutes per loan.
They can allocate more time to the analysis and quicker
approvals, while spending less time on the information input.
While it may not be possible for every borrower to provide
this file type, Marine Bank has seen that most customers
already have the right format-it is just a matter of asking for
it.
What is next for Marine Bank? Continuing to optimize the life
of loan. " [Sageworks] has given us insight into how great it
can be to have everything in one system... So really, it is just
continuing to evaluate the life of loan and all the pieces that
go into that. "
