First hired by Midland Hills to be its
caddiemaster in 1929, Wally Mund soon
proved his worth when he was hired as
the club's golf professional in 1936.
Mund also made his mark on the local
and national golf professional scenes: He
was recognized as the Minnesota Section
PGA Professional of the Year three times,
and again by the national PGA in 1969.
He is in the PGA Golf Professional Hall
of Fame. In 1987 he was posthumously
inducted into the MGA-PGA Minnesota
Golf Hall of Fame.
