Workshop coming to
Minneapolis
Whether you are looking
to sharpen your existing
rules knowledge
or to start learning
more about the Rules
of Golf, the USGA and
the PGA are bringing
two of their foremost rules educators to
Minneapolis March 22-25 for a 3 1/2-day
workshop.
David Staebler of the USGA and Cary
Collins of the PGA of America will present
all of the 34 Rules of Golf, unabridged
and in detail. Classroom time will include
presentations with photos, illustrations,
animations and videos. Attendees receive
the current editions of The Rules of Golf,
The Decisions on the Rules of Golf, The
Principles Behind the Rules of Golf, and
online access to the USGA University,
where there are a variety of study materials
and practice exams.
The $350 cost includes workshop
sessions, study materials, continental
breakfast, refreshments

According to the National Golf Foundation, more than twothirds
of the core golfers (defi ned as age six and up who play
between eight and 24 rounds/year) they surveyed reported using distance measuring
devices (DMDs) or mobile apps during most of their rounds. Nearly half said they own
a DMD; 13 percent said they use a GPS-enabled distance measuring app on their mobile
device;1
and about the same number said they own both.
