(tips from the pros ) SEE THE LIE AND LET IT FLY Analyzing the lie will help you visualize and execute your shot. By Mike Barge, Hazeltine National GC Photos by Matt Seefeldt P laying good golf requires good decision-making all around the course-especially around the green. Visualizing the best, most effi cient way to get the ball in the hole quickly is the way to get low scores. The fi rst factor to look at is the lie. Too many golfers neglect this and hit the wrong shot. The lie of the ball dictates the kind of shot you can play and with what club. Once you get to your ball, analyze the lie, visualize the shot (trajectory and landing area), pick a club and execute the shot.
