SOTA GOLF
The old clubhouse was leveled in the fall of 2002 and a
new " Tudor-style " facility opened in June 2003 (the pool area
was remodeled shortly thereafter). Members of the RGCC
are proud of their club's remarkable history, the golf course's
pedigree and its stern-but-fair test, and new clubhouse with its
" state-of-the-art " professional golf shop.
During its 99-year history, RGCC has graciously hosted numerous
MGA championships, qualifi ers and events, including:
four USGA qualifi ers, two Minnesota State Junior Boys'
Championships, six Minnesota Women's State Championships,
fi ve MGA State Amateur Championships and one MGA
Players' Match-Play Championship, seven MGA Senior Tour
events, seven MGA Associate Member Days' events, the 1993
U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur, and the 2010 Women's Western
Golf Association Amateur.
In 2015, the MGA's Mid-Amateur Championship will be
contested on the historic Tillinghast layout, along with the
Somerby Golf Club in nearby Byron, Minn.
