ALLIED ASSOCIATIONS: A LIST OF MGA PARTNERS
NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio,
on September 19. Florida finished in
second place with 11-over 449, beating
Virginia by one stroke. Finishing the
top five were Arizona with a 451 and
Maryland with 454.
Sarah Burnham's 1-over par 74 led
the Minnesota team in the last round
to secure a spot tied for eighth with
New Mexico. Burnham finished tied
for 16th with teammate Olivia Herrick
at 13-over par. Teammate Celia
Kuenster finished tied for 27th. Led by
captain Brenda Williams, the women
displayed excellent golf over the three
rounds with a top-10 finish.
The Minnesota Women's Team
holds an impressive record with past
championships, winning in 2001 and
accumulating five top-10 finishes. The
state team is a biennial team championship
represented by non-collegiate
amateur golfers and held in alternating
years by gender (the women play
in odd-numbered years, and the men
play in even numbered years).

The amount in green fees, cart fees,
merchandise (prizes) and food and
beverages that the MGA contributed
to its member clubs during the 2013
tournament season. That figure includes
MGA Championships, MGA
Senior Tour and MGA Member Days,
which collectively visited 112 MGA
member golf clubs this year.
